And there are guys wandering around on the girders! I'd feel sick looking out from the mezzanine floor!

Moving back to Dubai after 22 years has been an experience! Back then we didn't have the internet or blogs. Now we do I can jot down my thoughts on daily life, things we come up against, things we enjoy, the multi-national society, the laws, the weather...plus other things in general which catch my attention.

did you take this picture? how on earth did you manage to do that?
The fisheye lens doesn't help, does it? And that sucker must be moving around up there... a few feet of lateral 'give' and you'll be 'blowing up chunks' as the charming Australian expression has it... :)))
seems like he is on a crane
No, I didn't take the photo. Not for anything would I be able to go up there! It was sent to me by a friend in the construction industry.
I also think the photographer is probably in one of the tower cranes.
ahhh i see!..it would be nice to go up there and take an "i've beenthere" kind of picture...but not on the tower crane...maybe on a safe fully slabed floor..:)
Does anyone have any idea what the sink plunger (far right of the photo) is for?
The sink plunger looks as if it is a light fitting, maybe a beacon.
Poor workers must be terrified!
It's even more impressive from the top!
