I was talking yesterday about the closed bridge in the Marina, which enterprising motorists use by bouncing around the road barriers.
This morning, as I was sitting in the traffic jam, I caught a couple of them on camera.
The 4x4 on the footpath to get around the barrier...
And the taxi up on the footpath...
...and motoring happily across the bridge...
The question remains, why isn't the bridge opened to traffic?

because they like to set up challenges for us motorists...
maybe they're not safe yet?
LDU, this is one of four (soon to be five) and the others are operating. This one was operating too for a few days until they decided to dig up the just-completed roads and re-plan them. Traffic is using this one, as my photos show, by maneuvring around the barriers...
Why make life easy, Seabee? ;-)
Dubai, You gotta luv this place, all the confusion & no answers. Best still is. While we have massive parking problems; hey we proudly go and build 15 meter wide pavements to cope with the huge volumes of pedestrian traffic in 45 dgr of heat??
