I've been tagged

CG has tagged me I'm afraid, and for once I'll do as I'm told.

1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages)

'Cocktails and Mixed Drinks' by Anthony Hogg.

2. Open the book to page 123.

OK, done that.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

Alcohol is a good thing, but, unfortunately, a poison.

4. Post the next three sentences.

Drunk men tell no lies and and an extremely drunk man in a Maltese bar once told me that alcohol always caught up with you; perhaps the same night, possibly the next morning, or it might wait slyly for years to give you a stroke or cirrhosis at sixty.

So far ir has always given me a headache in the morning. Once I consulted a Harley Street Ear, Nose & Throat surgeon saying that I felt the headache's severity was out of all proportion to the alcohol consumed.

5. Tag five people.

OK, here goes - sorry:

LOL - seabee! This is the first thing that made me laugh today...and it's already a quarter to 4! I just didn't expect a book with such a title to be the nearest to you loool, was expecting something like "Alexander the Great" or something hehe.

I've been following this tag since Buj posted it...the funny thing is all the people tagged on Buj's and Cg's post are all in our web! looking forward to doing my own post on this :)

Have a nice day! (why did me and Buj both say that? I think it's because it's the weekend!)

i*maginate, it wasn't truly the book nearest me - here in my little computer den the only book is the Oxford English Dictionary and I didn't think that was appropriate. So I wandered into the room with the bookshelf and just reached for a book.

It is the book I read most often though ;-)

Nice job!
I loved that. I also agree that this is quite interesting.

Mine was not the nearest book to me, that unfortunately was a photoshop tutorial, which did not even have a page 123, so I delved into my handbag and voila! It was a sordid biography of Jane Digby, which by the way has turned into a fantastic read.

This was fun to do.

And yes, the book that I chose was the closest to me!

wow.. I* you're very observant... I always try to wish people a good day out of politeness.. for the weekend I usually say "have a great weekend" or a similar assortment of words to the same effect.

I think out of all the tags i've done, this is probably the most interesting as well as the shortest.. it's great! All thanks to DubaiGuy :)

OOps just seen this! Will do as soon as I get home, I haven't got any books here in my office unless you include the one in my bottom drawer entitled The Secret Confessions....oh. Never mind.

HMHB no, keep that in the bottom drawer. If you quote it on here we'll all have blocked blogs.
