I get the feeling he probably wasn't travelling at the speed limit, which is 60kph in this area.

Moving back to Dubai after 22 years has been an experience! Back then we didn't have the internet or blogs. Now we do I can jot down my thoughts on daily life, things we come up against, things we enjoy, the multi-national society, the laws, the weather...plus other things in general which catch my attention.

That's pretty impressive! What did he do, fall out of the car park?
I've been trying to work out how on earth he could do that ... it takes a serious lack of skill, even by Dubai standards !
A solo accident or other cars involved?
Susan, above him is Radisson hotel's balconies so somehow he managed to flip it from road level.
2020 and Dave, when we went past there was no other vehicle to indicate he'd been hit by anything, which suggests he managed it all by himself. Somehow.
Could be a burst tire. But not possible at 60 kph :p
I can't even tell you how thankful I am this is no longer a daily (or even weekly) sight for me. It's been so long since I've seen body-parts splashed all over the roads from motorbike accidents, I'm almost getting over my fear of them!
Wonder if I'll be a paranoid wreck driving, when I come back to Dubai? You travel a lot Seabee... How do you manage?
we also had an accident on that part last year, but that was bcoz a cab turned right from farthest left lane ubruptly w/o any signal while we're suppose to be the one turning right. good thing our scene was not like this pic. I suppose there's just too many stupid and careless driver here.
Anon@12.42, the 'Anon' you were commenting about is Bruno The Troll. Like all trolls he's a non-person, a complete waste of time and space so I simply delete his infantile insults and he just disappears into the big irrelevant zero that he is.
ahhh I see now, I thought it was a multi story car park! Maybe he was another one in training for the Darwin Awards!
Tainted, it's a lot better than when you were here, many new roads are open so there's less frustration that came from getting stuck in jams.
Driving in the other places we visit isn't usually a problem - except for the cost of fuel!
But...when you come back to Dubai you may prefer to use the Metro after you look at this.
