A flowers roastery.
I'm obviously missing something, but I can't work out what it is.
A mistranslation perhaps?
Moving back to Dubai after 22 years has been an experience! Back then we didn't have the internet or blogs. Now we do I can jot down my thoughts on daily life, things we come up against, things we enjoy, the multi-national society, the laws, the weather...plus other things in general which catch my attention.

LoL, where is it? In Al Barsha?
What I like is your reflection in the shop window.
It's as confusing in Arabic.
Have you seen this?

Anon@1.58 no, it's in Satwa.
Anon@2.53, you mean the guy in the white shirt...who isn't shooting a photograph?
El Shahlab, is the Arabic a similar word to 'roastery'?
Hahaha. It's not a roastery for flowers. It's actually a roastery called "Queen Palace Flowers" (not that that makes more sense!).
Seabee,
Yes..see the little word on the top right? That's 'Roastery' in Arabic. Pronounced 'Mahmasa' with the H sound like the H in 'Mohammad'
El Shahlab, thanks.
Interestingly the UAE yellow pages has them listed as a "trader of coffee, confectionary, chocolate, flowers, plants and nuts"!
I guessing that it should be "Queen Palace Flowers AND Roastery"..........
It took me years to figure out that a roastery wasn't roasting chickens! Big disappointment!
Wissam no, it isn't a roastery. As Dave said, they sell flowers and chocolates.
