They're kidding, right?

It's in Arabian Business, not some sensationalist tabloid, so I tend to believe it.

I've checked the date and it isn't April 1st.

The report says:

Citibank’s UAE subsidiary has launched a marketing campaign offering residents a free one-way flight out of the country if they sign on for a personal bank loan.

Borrow up to Dh64,000 and they'll give you a one-way ticket out of here.

I need to go away and think about this one...

See what you think of the story, which is here.

  3. But even better:

"Those that take AED64,000 or more are gifted a return flight, the lender said in advertisements."

so they obviously will chase a defaulter for the larger loans!

Irresponsible, suggesting nobody has learned from the past few years.

  8. With credit card interest rates well in excess of 30%/yr, Citibank can afford it. Indentured servitude anyone?

Try leaving after resigning your job!

    Dave, you missed your chance!

  9. unrelated to this one but I got an interesting bulk messaging solution flyer through sms.

went to the website http://waselny.ae/ and well well, what do we see?

The first mode of contacting them listed there is - Skype!

So, a company launches a service in this country and tells me I can contact them via a method that is officially blocked!
