Moving back to Dubai after 22 years has been an experience! Back then we didn't have the internet or blogs. Now we do I can jot down my thoughts on daily life, things we come up against, things we enjoy, the multi-national society, the laws, the weather...plus other things in general which catch my attention.

Good grief, how did that happen? That's a perfectly straight piece of road with speed humps!
They've put speed humps on Al Sufouh Rd?
In front of KV?!?!?! How come I didn't see it?!?!?!
You should set a camera up on 'Greens Drive'. Every day as I pull out of Green's street 3 there are one, two sometimes three cars lying by the side of the road.
They need speed humps and street lights all round that area but unfortunately that might stop drivers making the road 6 cars wide!
Nzm, you're right, that is Al Sufouh . . . sorry, I thought it was the road within KV.
Yes, it's the morons' drag racing strip known officially as Al Sufouh Road. No humps, no cameras, no police.
The normal thing is to start at the Dubai Marina turnoff either by doing an illegal (clearly signed) U-turn into the path of legally filtering traffic, or jumping the filter light when it's red. Having done either of those it's pedal to the metal...
